Company > Creating A New Project / Modifying An Existing

To create a new project:

  • Log into HammerTech (if you are not already logged in), then navigate using the left hand menu > Administration > Project Management.  
  • Once on the 'Projects' page > Select the '+Add New' button in the top right hand corner of the screen to add a new project to the HammerTech system
  • If you are modifying an existing project, simply select the project from the list.
  • The Name field will show throughout the system as the projects title. This is how users will identify this project. It is therefore recommended that this field contain the full name of the Project.
  • The Domain field will be displayed as part of the HammerTech system's address e.g.<domain>.hammertechonline.com It is recommended that this be a condensed version of the project name. Note: this field does not accept spaces and will automatically fill with a suggested domain name based on your project name. Once the project has been created, this cannot be changed.
  • Depending on your settings, you may have to enter a SMS Sender ID - this field will show up as the 'sender' when users receive SMS from the system. It is recommended that this be a condensed version of the project name. Note: this field does not accept spaces and is limited to 11 characters

  • Expand the '+Site Information' section and complete the Site Address in full.
  • To add weather details select the most relevant location from the Weather Forecast Location drop down menu and Weather Observation Location drop down menu
  • Select the State and Country from their relevant drop down menus

  • Once populated, the Site Start Time and Start Finish Time will set as defaults for users creating Permits within the system or they can be changed to suit your requirements

  • Expand the '+Project Information' section, complete the project details and confirm whether the project should be hidden from the public page. By leaving the Hide Public Project Website blank individuals will be able to access site specific information without requiring a login eg. PPE Requirements, Important Site Documents, Recent Bulletins; and access the Site Registration. Note: If selected an additional tickbox will appear which is to be left blank
  • Once the '+Client Information' section is completed, Select > +Create and the project will appear on the Projects register
