This article will guide you through how to Create a new project or modify the settings of an existing project.
To create and modify projects:
- Log into HammerTech.
- Navigate to Administration > Project Management.
- Select the blue + button in the top right-hand corner of the screen to create a new project, or select a project from the list to edit.
- Enter a Name for the project. This will display throughout the system as the project's title. This is how users will identify this project. It is therefore recommended that this field contain the full name of the Project.
- Enter a Domain. This will be displayed as part of the HammerTech system's address e.g. companyname.hammertechonline.com/project-domain. It is recommended that this be a condensed version of the project name.
Note: this field does not accept spaces and will automatically fill with a suggested domain name based on your project name. Once the project has been created, this cannot be changed. - If you have a Region configured, you can select the relevant option from the dropdown.
- Select the Timezone for the project from the dropdown list.
Note: Ensure the correct timezone is selected, as this cannot be changed later. - Click on >Site Information to expand this section.
- Complete the Site Address portion by either using the Address Search function, or manually inputting the details in the relevant fields.
- Select the Weather Forecast Location and Weather Observation Location from their respective dropdown menus
- Select the State and Country from their respective dropdown menus
- Click >Site Timings to expand this section.
Here you can input the Start Time and Finish Time of work for each day. - Click >Project Information to expand this section.
- Complete the details shown here, including Expected Start and End Date, Projected Project Hours, Project Value, and Scope.
By leaving the Hide Public Project Website blank, individuals will be able to access site specific information without requiring a login; e.g. PPE Requirements, Important Site Documents, Recent Bulletins, and access the Site Registration.
Note: If selected, an additional checkbox will appear which is to be left blank. - Click >Client Information to expand this section.
- Complete the details shown here, including Client Name, Contact Name, Contact Email, and Contact Phone.
You can now click Create, and the project will appear in the list of projects!
