Overview
To upload documents in HammerTech, you must have Administrator access. Permissions are as follows:
- Project Documents – Requires Project Admin access.
- Company-wide Documents – Requires Company Admin access.
As an admin, you can control user access to documents, including viewing and downloading permissions.
Instructions
Creating a Folder and Uploading a Document
Step 1: Log in to HammerTech
- Log in to your HammerTech account.
- From the Company Overview drop-down in the top right corner, select the required project.
- Navigate to Documents > View.
Step 2: Create a Folder
- Click the Options cog.
- Select Create Folder.
- Enter the folder name and click Create.
Step 3: Upload a Document
- Click the blue (+) button in the top right corner.
- Select the folder where the document should be stored (choose Root Folder if no folder is necessary).
- Click Upload File to browse and select the file, or drag and drop the file into the upload area.
- Note: Multiple documents can be uploaded at once using drag and drop.
Step 4: Set Document Permissions
- Under Permissions, select who can access the document:
- Public – The document will be available on the Public/Home Page, where workers go to register and complete inductions.
- Internal (all users) – Access for all internal users, including Admins, Documents Only Users, Standard Users, and Employer Representatives.
- Internal (specific roles) – Restricted access to selected internal user groups.
- Select whether the document applies to:
- Current project only – Accessible only by users with access to this project.
- All projects – Available across all projects.
Renaming a Document
By default, the document title is set to the uploaded file name. To rename it:
- Locate the document in the list.
- Click the Options cog in the top right corner and select Edit.
- Update the Title field.
- Click Save Changes.
Important Notes
- Project Admins cannot create or edit folders.
- Ensure that document permissions are correctly configured to maintain security and access control.
