HSEQ Inspections Setup > Setting Up Permit Inspections

Within the HammerTech system, it is possible to conduct inspections against specific active permits in order to record ongoing observations and data during the permit.

To do this, you first need to set up Inspection Types that are associated with specific Permit Types (must be a company level admin).

  • Log into HammerTech and then navigate using the left hand menu to Administration > Inspection Types
  • Create a new Inspection Type by selecting the plus sign in the top right corner, or select one already in the system that you wish to use only with Permits.
  • Apply or edit the necessary settings as normal (if you need help setting up an Inspection see  Adding an Inspection Type), and when you scroll to the bottom of the page, you will see a Permit Options section. Click to expand, and then select any Permit Types that you want associated with this inspection.
  • Select Create or Save Changes once complete.

Note: once you associate an inspection to a permit, you will not be able to create this as a stand alone inspection anymore, and it will need to be associated with an active permit instead.
