Employers > Sending & Resending Welcome Email

The Welcome Email is an email sent out to the Primary Contact, welcoming them to the system and the project, and requesting them to start orienting Personnel and submitting JHA's.

Note: Primary Contact details (First Name, Last Name, Email) must be entered for a Welcome Email to be sent (See How Do I Find/Change The Primary Contact?). If the Primary Contact doesn't have a login then this will be created when entering their details before a Welcome Email can be sent.

To send a Welcome Email when creating an Employer:

Follow the steps in article Employers > Setting Up An Employer (Manual) which will detail how to send a Welcome Email during the Employer setup process.

 

To send a Welcome Email after an Employer has been created:

  • Log into HammerTech (if you are not already logged in), then navigate using the left hand menu > EMPLOYER > ACTIVE >
  • Select the Employer you wish to send the Welcome Email to (Note: The Welcome Email column will identify if a Welcome Email has not been sent)
  • Select the blue settings icon (cog) in the top right corner
  • Select Edit
  • Select the Send Welcome Email Immediately check box
  • The option to add any specific instructions with the email will become available
  • Note: when the Send Welcome Email Immediately option has been selected, the system will automatically identify whether or not the Primary Contact has a user account, and select the appropriate tick boxes for you.
  • Select the green Save Changes icon

 

To Resend a Welcome Email:

  • Log into HammerTech (if you are not already logged in), then navigate using the left hand menu > EMPLOYER > ACTIVE >
  • Select the Employer you wish to resend the Welcome Email to (Note: The Welcome Email column will identify if a Welcome Email has not been sent)
  • Select the blue settings icon (cog) in the top right corner
  • Select Resend Welcome Email
  • Alternatively, select Edit
  • Employer Options will allow you to then select Resend Welcome Email
  • Select the Preview button if you wish to view the current configuration of the welcome email, and what will be sent to the primary contact.
  • You can also choose to separately Send a request to update employer details if the primary contact needs to edit outdated info on their profile.

  • If Resend Welcome Email is selected, the option to add any specific instructions with the email will become available
  • Select the green Save Changes icon at the bottom of the page
