Once a Permit has been approved and it is within the time frame of the Permit, you can select when work starts and when work finishes.
The point of contact for the Permit will also be notified (by email and/or sms) at the start and finish times of the Permit to remind them to sign in and out of the Permit.
Instructions
Starting Work
- Log into HammerTech
- Select your required project from the Company Overview drop-down in the top right hand corner
- Select Permits > View All
- Select the green Start Work icon for the Permit you wish to Start Work for
- A screen will appear with the details of the Permit, confirm that the details are correct, complete any checklists that have been setup, and sign and print your name in the spaces provided.
- Select the green Start Work icon.
Note: For auditing, safety and data consistency you are not able to alter a permit start time, employer or zone, after work has actually commenced in that zone.
Stopping Work
- Log into HammerTech
- Select your required project from the Company Overview drop-down in the top right hand corner
- Select Permits > View All
- Select the orange Stop Work icon (Note: when the screen is expanded you can see the number of workers signed into the permit in the 'Signed In' column)
- A screen will appear with the details of the Permit, confirm that the details are correct, complete any checklist questions, and sign and print your name in the spaces provided
- Select the Finish Work icon
Note: If workers are Signed In, and the 'Finish Work' option is selected, a 'Stop Work Warning' will pop up. This will show a list of 'Workers Not Signed Out'. Select the tickbox 'I confirm that the above listed workers have signed out of this Permit' > Confirm
Note: Once a Permit has been stopped, workers can not sign in or out of the Permit. If the sign in/out page is accessed after 'Stop Work', an error message will appear (see below)
