Configuring Booking Zones

To start using the Bookings module, Booking Types and Booking Zones must first be configured.
To configure Booking Zones, project-level Admin rights or above are required.

Note: If you wish to associate Booking Zones with a site diagram, ensure that you have uploaded the diagram onto the project before following these instructions. This will allow you to assign a colour to a Booking Zone and map Booking Zones onto the Site Diagrams.

Configuring Booking Zones

1. Log into HammerTech
2. Select a project from the drop-down on the top right of the page
3. Select Bookings > Configure Zones
4. Select the blue plus button in the top right hand corner
5. Add a Name for the Booking Zone
6. If required, select a visual colour to associate with the Booking Zone
   To choose the colour, click the colour selector and choose one of the basic colour, or adjust it with sliders to your preferred one with the sliders and click Select to the left of the sliders.
   
   
   Note: If you require more control over the Colour selection, click Advanced and adjust Hue, Lightness and Saturation separately.
   Alternatively, enter the 6-digit hex colour code into the text field next to the colour selector.
   
   
   
   
7. Select whether you want to Only allow one Employer with an active booking in this zone at a time (i.e. if a booking is made in this zone for a specific time, no other bookings will be allowed regardless of Booking Type)
   
   

Advanced Diagram Options

1. Select the relevant Site Diagram from the drop-down
2. Select the Edit button next to next field titled Polygon
   
   
   
   
3. Once the map and polygon editor appears, click on the corners of the zone on the map in order
   A square or rectangle shaped zone would have four points and therefore four sets of coordinates (see below).
4. If needed, adjust the corner coordinates on the left by deleting a corner/corners and re-adding it
   Note: you need to click on the corners in a "connect-the-dots" order. If you need to adjust a corner from the middle of the list, ensure you delete any coordinates following it and re-add.
5. Once happy with the Booking Zone mapping, select Save Changes
   
   
   
   

6. Select Create once you are happy with the Booking Zone.

Once the mapping to the Site Diagram is saved, an option will be available either when configuring other Booking Zones or applying for a booking to View Diagram, which will show any Zones mapped onto it.
When applying for a booking, instead of ticking the box next to the zones, you can click the zone directly on the map to select it.

Note: The name of the zone will automatically appear in the centre of the coordinates. However, the TextCentrePoint (coordinates) and TextRotationInDegrees (degree of rotation) fields allow you to reposition the text within the zone.
