Adding a Primary Contact

The Primary Contact is an important role within the HammerTech system.

This individual can be set up to be the same contact for All Projects (You can select this if you are a Company Admin) or just for One Project (Any user role can select this).

Depending on the size of the Employer, this individual is not usually the person on site. They will most likely be office based and will be responsible for ensuring their personnel have completed Inductions and submitted JHAs.

Below we will cover off two options...
Adding a Company level Primary Contact
Adding a Project Level Primary Contact

 

ADDING A COMPANY LEVEL PRIMARY CONTACT

  • Start by logging into HammerTech and, using the left hand menu, click on Employers then, in the expanded menu, click on Active

  • Select the relevant Employer which will load the Employers profile
    IMPORTANT:
    If you wish to add a Primary Contact for a just specific project please click HERE
    However, if you are adding a Primary Contact that sits across all the projects that Employer is linked to, continue below...

  • Select the blue plus (+) sign to add a Primary Contact

  • Now enter the email address of the Primary Contact and then click on Validate
    NOTE:
    If the email address is linked to an existing user you will get a message that advises you...
    This user is already associated with a user account, and it will pre populate their details

  • You will notice Contact Type is greyed out. This is because you are adding them at a Company Level, so this is selected by default and can't be changed. If you were meant to add them to just a specific project, click HERE

  • Fill in the rest of their details and also select...
    Receive Site Notifications - Chooses whether the Primary Contact is to receive project notifications
    Has Access to Confidential Information for All Project - Only users that have been granted 'Allow Access to Confidential Information' can request to view and edit certain confidential information relating to their workers, for example: Contact Details, Vehicle Details, Address, Emergency Contact, License Photo + Numbers (Employers > Giving Access to Confidential Data)

  • Press Submit

ALL DONE! An email will be sent to the user with their account details, and they will be required to activate it and set up a password to log in.

You can check the status of a Primary Contact by going back into the Employer's profile. If the user has not set up their account yet, you will see Pending Activation under their Status.

  • To resend the email, select the cog under the Action heading and click View
  • A pop up window with their details will appear, click on Send Reminder

Once they have set up their account, the status will change to Active.

To replace an Existing Primary Contact see Employers > Updating Primary Contact Details

 

ADDING A PROJECT LEVEL PRIMARY CONTACT

  • Start by logging into HammerTech

  • Select the relevant Project in the top right corner

  • using the left hand menu, click on Employers then, in the expanded menu, click on Active

  • Select the relevant Employer which will load the Employers profile
  • Click on the relevant project you wish to add the Primary Contact to

  • A pop up will appear, and you will need to select whether you are adding a NEW or EXISTING contact. An Existing contact would be someone from that Employer that already has an account, but is not on this particular project.

  • Now enter the email address of the Primary Contact and then click on Validate
    NOTE:
    If the email address is linked to an existing user you will get a message that advises you...
    This user is already associated with a user account, and it will pre populate their details

  • Fill in the rest of their details and also select...

    Send Welcome Email Immediately will send the Welcome Email that relates to that Employer and that Project. If the project is already up and running, you may not need top resend this as it would have gone to the original primary contact when first established.
  • Press Submit
