Troubleshooting
Q: Why are my files not showing on the file explorer pop-up?
A: Occasionally, 'Image Files' or 'Custom Files' is automatically selected in the file-type drop down. This needs to be changed to 'All Files'.
Q: Why can't I upload a file as a Bulletin? I am getting an error message!
A: Bulletins have a maximum limit of 3MB per file. There is also a limit of 5 attachments. This is to prevent email Bulletins from being blocked from certain email clients. Email clients will block emails with more than a total of 3MB attachments.
Q: I have sent out a Bulletin. Why are the workers not receiving the file attachment?
A: Bulletins only support .DOCX, .PDF, .PNG, .JPEG, and .GIF file formats.
There are also some restrictions on the documents that can be attached depending on the Distribution Method of the Bulletin. This includes SMS restrictions where attachments will not be sent via SMS and TV restrictions where .DOCX and .DOC files cannot be displayed on TVs.
Q: Why is my file not uploading? There is a spinning wheel and 'Save Changes' is greyed out.
A: The most common cause of this is poor internet connection. We recommend using file compressors to reduce the file size to make uploading faster. You can use websites similar to https://www.compress2go.com/ to do this.
This can also occur when uploading a photo that has been taken using an Apple product e.g. iPhone or iPad. Apple products utilise HEIC files instead of JPEG files. HEIC files are not compatible with the HammerTech system. To set up your device to save image files as JPEG instead of HEIC, go to Settings> Camera > Formats > select Most Compatible
